Whitney Houston was said to be “declining in terms of her popularity” when her name came up as a possible co-star/romantic partner for Kevin Costner in The Bodyguard, the hit drama that opened 25 years ago, on Nov. 25, 1992.
“That didn’t really matter to me. I just thought she was the perfect choice,” Costner told Yahoo Entertainment about the late pop icon during a 2014 Role Recall interview (watch clip above). “It wasn’t her ‘in’ moment. … Everybody alerted me to the fact that she was black, which I knew. It might have been easier two years earlier at her peak. But after that movie, she became, I think, one of the biggest stars in the world.”

TOM PETTY DEAD at 66 after suffering an apparent cardiac arrest! RIP to a legend.
Tom Petty was rushed to the hospital Sunday night after he was found unconscious, not breathing and in full cardiac arrest … EMTs rushed to his Malibu home and were able to get a pulse. He was rushed to the UCLA Santa Monica Hospital and our sources say he was put on life support.

Tyrese investigated by children services over child abuse claims!
Tyrese is now under the microscope of the L.A. County Dept. of Children and Family Services over claims by his ex-wife and baby mama that he spanked his 10-year-old daughter so hard she couldn’t sit.
Tyrese and Norma Gibson are in a court battle … Norma’s trying to get a permanent restraining order prohibiting him from physically disciplining their kid. She also wants full physical and legal custody. She’s worried Tyrese will take their daughter to Dubai, where he has business ties, and not come back. She also wants Tyrese to take domestic violence courses.
